SKI BALL IS ALMOST HERE. GET YOUR TICKETS.

We are officially in the final stretch to Ski Ball 2026 on Friday, October 30 at the Reno Ballroom, and tickets are going fast.

Reno Tahoe has always felt a little more like a family than a place. People show up for each other, pass things down, bring new people into the fold and keep finding their way back together. Nevada Skiing is built on that same family culture. Generations of athletes, coaches, alumni, parents and supporters have kept this program going by showing up and pitching in.

Since the team was reinstated in 2022, this community has rallied around Nevada Skiing in a pretty incredible way. We are genuinely grateful for that support. It is a big reason we are here today, and it has helped give this team the opportunity to build something again. Now we need to keep it going.

Ski Ball is one of the nights each year when the whole Nevada Skiing family gets together. Come celebrate what we have built, catch up with old friends, meet the next generation of Wolf Pack skiers and help us keep building the future of the program.

Jakota Wass Ski Ball 2025

ON STAGE

Uncle E and John Haines will keep things moving as our emcees, with Dale Johannes taking over the live auction.

Jakota Wass is back to play Ski Ball, and he has a new album, Blue Hour, out now! We are excited to have him back on stage, and you can also bid on a VIP concert experience with Jakota during the live auction.

We are also excited to welcome some great names from the ski community, including Tamara McKinney, Daron Rahlves, Franz Weber, Marie Michele Gagnon, Travis Ganong and more.

LIVE AUCTION ITEMS

This year’s live auction has a pretty ideal mix; some of the best of Reno Tahoe, plus a few very good reasons to get out of town. Here’s a preview of what’s going up for bid:

1. The Giant Slalom Statue by Doug Van Howd
A one of a kind piece of Nevada Skiing history from longtime supporter and craftsman Doug Van Howd. It is a smaller version of the giant slalom statue at the Reno Tahoe International Airport.

2. Seven Days in the British Virgin Islands
Seven days aboard a catamaran exploring the British Virgin Islands, donated by Nevada alum Mark Svoboda. We fully support taking a brief break from skiing for this trip.

3. Jakota Wass VIP Concert Experience
A VIP concert experience with Jakota Wass, fresh off the release of his new album, Blue Hour.

4. Ruby Mountains Heli Skiing for Two
A heli skiing adventure for two in the Ruby Mountains. A truly unique Northern Nevada experience.

5. Train with the Pack
Load early at Mt. Rose and spend the morning skiing and training with the Nevada Ski Team. Fresh corduroy and a morning with the Pack. You will also get a firsthand look at what these athletes do before most of us have had coffee.

6. Secrets of Spain
An unforgettable trip through Spain with incredible places, food, culture and experiences along the way. What happens in Spain, stays in Spain?

If you are planning to join us, get your tickets now. We would love to see a full house!

PACK SKIERS HEAD TO GERMANY

Three Wolf Pack women are getting an early start to the 2026 27 season.

Erica Lynch, Noelle Roth and Sophia Falter are headed to Wittenberg, Germany for an indoor slalom camp with the National Development Team.

It is a great chance to get quality slalom training and spend some time on snow before the snow falls in the west.

For Sophia, the trip comes after a standout freshman season that included qualifying for the 2026 NCAA Championships and finishing 14th in giant slalom and 22nd in slalom. Erica is coming off her best season yet, finishing 7th in slalom at NCAAs and earning All American honors.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will be watching the weather forecast and praying for snow.

Go Pack!
